AffiAfrica ("we", "us", "our") provides a marketplace and campaign platform for digital creators, affiliates, and brands. This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect when you visit our website, create an account, list or purchase products, run or join campaigns, or otherwise interact with the Platform.

By using AffiAfrica, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy.

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information — full name, username, email address, password (stored as a secure hash), phone number, country, profile photo, and bio.
• Verification information — identity, tax, and payout details required to sell, run campaigns, or withdraw funds.
• Content — products, listings, campaign briefs, deliverables, messages, reviews, and files you upload.
• Financial information — bank account details for payouts and limited payment metadata (processed by our payment providers, not stored in full on our servers).
• Usage data — pages viewed, actions taken, clicks, referral links, affiliate conversions, device and browser type, IP address, and approximate location.
• Communications — support requests, notifications, and messages you exchange with other users on the Platform.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure your session, measure Platform performance, and attribute affiliate clicks and conversions.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent you from signing in or using core features such as checkout, affiliate tracking, and campaign management.

Payments, payouts, and withdrawals on AffiAfrica are processed by trusted third-party providers, including Paystack for bank transfers. When you pay or withdraw, your card and bank details are submitted directly to the payment provider under their own security and privacy terms.

We store only the limited metadata we need to operate the Platform — for example, transaction IDs, amounts, currency, status, masked bank identifiers, and the associated user or order. We do not store full card numbers or online banking credentials on our servers.

We use your information to:

• Create and secure your account and verify your identity where required.
• Provide, operate, and improve marketplace, affiliate, campaign, and wallet features.
• Process transactions, calculate commissions, and issue payouts.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, chargebacks, and violations of our Terms.
• Send transactional messages, product updates, and — where permitted — marketing communications.
• Comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:

• Service providers — payment processors (such as Paystack), hosting, database, email, analytics, and customer support tools that help us operate the Platform.
• Other users — profile information, listings, campaign submissions, and reviews are visible to the counterparties you transact with, in line with your role (buyer, seller, affiliate, creator, or brand).
• Legal and safety — when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of AffiAfrica, our users, or others.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encrypted storage of secrets, hashed passwords, role-based access controls, row-level security on user data, and audit logging on sensitive actions.

No system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for using strong, unique credentials. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal data, subject to legal and financial record-keeping obligations.
• Object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
• Export a copy of your data in a portable format.

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only as long as needed to comply with legal, tax, accounting, dispute resolution, and fraud-prevention obligations. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

Transactional records (orders, payouts, invoices) are typically retained for the period required by applicable tax and financial regulations.

AffiAfrica is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn we have collected such information without valid parental consent, we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and notify you through the Platform or by email where appropriate. Your continued use of AffiAfrica after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
